What could a business model look like that conserves resources, makes products more durable, and is economically viable at the same time?
One possible answer: Product-as-a-Service (PaaS) – a model in which the product itself is not sold, but rather its use or performance. Durability, reparability, and resource conservation become key to economic success, as the product remains the property of the manufacturer. The shift from sales to rental or service models changes everything: from product design based on the lifecycle, to planning and production processes, and even the customer relationship.
What to expect?
Expert presentations and discussions from the fields of business, planning, and research – accessible both on-site and via live stream:
- How does PaaS work in practice and what examples are there?
- What are its advantages – and what challenges must be overcome?
- What opportunities and limitations exist regarding resource conservation and the circular economy?
Why should you attend?
Gain hands-on insights into a forward-looking business model that can combine ecological responsibility with economic efficiency. Learn how products and processes can be aligned with the lifecycle, what opportunities arise for producers and users, and where the limits of added value for this business model lie.
We look forward to the discussion!
