The last step in transferring ownership of the Bauakademie site to the Federal Bauakademie Foundation has been taken! Negotiations for the property began in November 2020, conducted by the Federal Bauakademie Foundation in conjunction with the Institute for Federal Real Estate (Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben). Their negotiating partner was Berliner Immobilienmanagement GmbH (BIM GmbH) in its capacity as representative for the State of Berlin. BIM GmbH and the Federal Bauakademie Foundation signed the purchase agreement, with a preliminary sale price of EUR 19.8 million, on August 10, 2021. Subsequently, the prerequisites for registration in the land register (ownership and encumbrance) had to be fulfilled. The purchase price was paid after Berlin’s House of Representatives approved the purchase agreement. The Federal Bauakademie Foundation is now the owner of the property, with all corresponding obligations and costs.
